God's Plan for Me?
Do I believe God has a plan for me?
Most days. Once in a while, I get distracted by the lie that I need to feel a certain way for God's plans for me to be "real."
It may help to know that I used to really doubt whether His plans for me were good. It's hard to believe God is good and loving when you feel like crap. When you can't pay the bills. When you wake up and go to a job that drains you. When someone you love is dying despite your prayers. When you are dying despite your prayers.
I've noticed that much of the suffering in our lives, and certainly in mine, comes from one quiet belief: God doesn't love me. Or maybe He loves us a little, but not fully. Not completely. Not all of us.
I had to start replacing the lie that God doesn't love me with Truth. Over time, one truth became unshakable for me:
God is love, and He loves all of me.
Not just the parts that look put together on Sunday morning. All of me.
He cares about the dreams He has placed in my heart. He cares about my fears, my worries, and the thoughts that run through my head. And yes, He cares about my body. My energy. My acne. My goal to get stronger and feel good in my own skin.
For a long time, I thought caring about my physical health or even focusing on my physical goals was somehow less spiritual, as if God cared about my soul but not my strength. Now I see it differently. Caring for my body is part of how I honor Him. My physical health is how I show up to the life He has put in front of me.
Every Day He Ordained...
Psalm 139:16 says:
"Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Before I took my first breath, God saw me. Before I lived a single day, He had already written every one of them.
That means every morning I wake up to is a day He planned for me. My health is how I show up to each one.
When I'm exhausted or in pain, it's harder to be present for the people I love, the work He's given me, and the dreams He's placed in my heart. When I care for my body, I'm better able to live the days He wrote for me.
This is why I became a health coach. Health isn't separate from the rest of your life. It's how you show up to it.
He Cares About You Too.
God cares about your hopes and dreams. He cares about how you feel in your body. He cares about your healing, your energy, and the goals you may be afraid to say out loud.
The same God who wrote my days in His book wrote yours too. He made you to live a life that is uniquely your own.
You don't have to have it all figured out before you invite Him in. You only have to be willing to let Him meet you in your dreams, guide you through your questions, and help you become more of who He created you to be.
This Week's Implementation:
Take five quiet minutes today. Invite God into one dream or goal you've been carrying, whether it's for your health, your relationships, your work, or your heart.
Don't try to solve it all. Don't make a perfect plan. Just bring it to Him honestly.
Then write a short paragraph describing what that dream looks like. What does it look like? How do you feel in that dream? What are you able to do? Looking at your paragraph, ask yourself:
- What am I already doing that lines up with this dream?
- What feels off?
- What is one thing I can do this week to move toward it?

A Prayer:
God, your eyes saw me before I was formed, and You wrote every one of my days. Help me believe that You love all of me, including my body, my dreams, and my goals. Teach me to care for the life You've given me so I can show up well to each day You've planned. Show me the next right step.
Journal Prompts:
- What lie are you believing in place of the Truth that God loves all of you?
- Do you believe God cares about your physical health and goals? Why or why not?
- God planned today for you before you ever lived it (Psalm 139:16), and He loves you through every moment of it. Picture Him beside you in every conversation, meal, and decision. How would you care for yourself, and how would you treat others?
- What health dream have you been afraid to say out loud? Write it as honestly as you would tell it to God.
- Imagine yourself a year from now, living closer to that dream. How do you feel? How are you showing up for the people and purpose God has given you?
